Ricoh has expanded its Caplio range of compact digital cameras by introducing the 500SE model B and 500SE model W. The former will come with Bluetooth 2.0 connectivity while the latter features not only similar connectivity, it supports 802.11b and 802.11g as well as WEP and WPA/WPA2 security for greater protection. Both models are equipped with a 8.13 megapixel CCD sensor and 3x optical zoom, a generous 2.5″ LCD display behind, 26MB of built-in memory, and an SD memory card slot. These new cameras are also as rugged as they look, boasting water/shock/dust-resistant features. The 500SE model B weighs a hefty 482g and costs an equally heavy $990, while the 500SE model W is even more expensive at $1,100.
