Looks like the rumored Sansa e280 digital audio player from SanDisk is finally official. The e280 is what many believe to be a serious iPod nano killer as it boasts up to 8GB of internal flash memory and a microSD expansion slot to further expand on the former. SanDisk claims that this new player will retail a shade below $250. This could prove decisive in swinging more customers their way as the iPod nano costs $249 for half the amount of memory when compared against the e280. This would automatically mean price cuts of up to 30% across the existing Sansa range.
