Just like how oil and water don’t mix, marrying both electricity and water often amounts to suicide. Scott Franklin threw the convention out of the window by creating the Wet Lamp. When the glass bowl is filled with water and then electrified, the submerged lightbulb within will light up as if summoned by Thomas Edison himself. The silver rod has a two-fold purpose – it charges the water as well as functions as a dimmer switch. The Wet Lamp is available in three sizes, with prices averaging around $250.
