The portable audio player market is set to evolve in a wireless direction with the introduction of the Sirius Stiletto and the upcoming Microsoft Zune. It is said that two’s company, three’s a crowd, and the Zing Music Player is the culprit here. Targeting mainly the Stiletto’s market, the Zing comes in a smaller size and yet manages to download Internet radio and Sirius via WiFi. Unfortunately, the lack of an integrated satellite receiver of its own could sway consumers to send their dollars elsewhere. The Zing Music Player comes with a navigational wheel that pays homage to Apple’s early design, although it lacks the touch wheel interface that we have all gotten used to. According to Gizmodo editors, the menu system is a breeze to use which is great news for those who have grown tired of clunky and cumbersome menu systems.
