Canon’s new Selphy ES1 takes a radical design path when compared against other portable photo printers as it comes in a vertical design. The Selphy ES1 is equipped with Canon’s DIGIC II imaging processor which enables the printer to correct and enhance your photos on-the-fly before it is printed in order to obtain the best results possible. A unique paper handling system enables Canon to develop this vertical standing printer. A 2.5″ LCD display allows you to edit and correct your photos, work which is traditionally done on a PC before being sent for printing. You can expect sharp images of 300 x 600dpi with the thermal dye technology used. The USB cable used in the Selphy ES1 is retractable, ensuring your travels do not get bogged down by unsightly and messy wires. The Selphy ES1 will be released in October for $249.99.
