Gerber has unveiled the Inferno Flexi-Light which works like a standard flashlight, except that there are 7 LED bulbs which can be pointed in different directions each simultaneously. As a flashlight, this feature is useless but it works great when placed above a table or used as a lantern. The Inferno offers 5 different lighting modes, including a focused white flashlight, a diffuse white area light, a red night vision area light, a red night vision focused light, and a flashing red emergency beacon. It requires a trio of AAA batteries to power the Inferno for approximately 40 hours which is a pretty good return. Edmund Scientifics is carrying the Gerber Inferno for $39.95.
