
Konica Minolta has unveiled its new Magicolor 2500 range of color laser printers which target the SOHO business model. The 2500W, the 2530DL and the 2550 are based on the legendary 2400 series and is capable of printing up to 5 pages per minute in color, and is 4 times as fast for monochrome printouts. The flagship 2550 comes with an Emperon controller and is compatible with virtually all applications and operating systems within a networked environment. Specifications include a 300MHz page processor and 128MB RAM which can be bumped up to 640MB when required. The 2530DL comes with 64MB RAM (upgradeable to 576MB), while the 2500W targets Windows users and ships with 32MB RAM. The 2550, 2530DL, and 2500W will retail for £399.99, £179.99, and £159.99 respectively.
