The creator of Sony’s Aibo robot dog, Tomoaki Kasuga, has set up a new firm called Speecys and will begin selling its very own humanoid MI RAI-RT robot which is capable of singing, dancing, perusing the news, and even giving English tuition. The MI RAI-RT connects to the Internet via a WiFi connection and can contact other brethren of his via the Robotamia website. Heck, you can even train the MI RAI-RT to read e-mail as well as messages with full body language. The MI RAI-RT is also capable of transmitting messages via Robot Transaction Markup Language. This 1.5kg, 33cm tall robot will retail for approximately $2,500 at the end of this month. You just gotta love the caption in the picture.
