The Motorola Q will soon receive a new brother-in-arms in the form of the Motorola E690 PDA cellphone. This upcoming device will run on Linux and boasts a cheery and generous 262k color QVGA TFT touchscreen. Other notable features include a 2 megapixel camera which can record video and hold a video conference, MP3, WMA, RealAudio, MIDI, WAV, AAC, AMR, RealVideo, MPEG-4 and H.263 format support, a pair of speakers, WAP, Bluetooth connectivity, and bundled versions of Excel, PowerPoint, and Word to keep you productive no matter where you are. One glaring negative about the upcoming E690 would be the exclusion of USB 2.0, as the included USB 1.1 connection is too slow for today’s standards.
