The FDA has approved Boston Scientific’s new Harmony HiResolution Bionic Ear System which will help severely deaf patients hear again. This cochlear implant enables patients to hear soft whispers and loud sounds without the hassle of adjusting dials or controls, courtesy of Harmony’s CD-quality processing and sophisticated dual-loop automatic gain control. This helps the patient to live life in a more normal fashion, providing the ability to better appreciate music, hold a conversation over the phone, and hear both loud and soft sounds. You can expect to see the Harmony HiResolution Bionic Ear System hit all good medical stores nationwide as early as next year.
