November 14 marks the spot for Zune

Mark November 14 on your calendar, all you Zunedians! Microsoft’s definitive digital media player will be released on that day at $249.99 for the 30GB version. That is a 99 cents premium over the recently revamped 30GB iPod Video for those who can’t count. In order to milk the Zune’s release for all it’s worth, Microsoft has also decided to launch a bunch of Zune-centric accessories such as docking stations, remote control, FM tuners, car packs, and a whole lot more. These are essentially remakes of what you can find in the digital media player accessory market. Here’s an interesting question – will existing owners of the iPod pony up a fair amount of cash for a Zune, or will they remain loyal to the Apple cause? You can pre-order one for yourself at Amazon.
