Most homes that are ready for the next generation in entertainment often come with a Windows Media Center PC sitting somewhere in the corner. Packard Bell decided to merge both the PC and a TV into the Smart TV S320. This HD-ready LCD display offers 32″ of viewing real estate with the power of a Pentium D820 2.8GHz processor running behind it. Features include 1GB of RAM, a spacious 400GB hard drive, a DVD+RW drive, and a 64MB ATI X1300 graphics card. Looks like Packard Bell has a potential winner here – the only drawback would be the lack of upgradability. The Smart TV S320 currently retails for £1,999. Do our readers prefer convergence devices, or is there still any merit in purchasing individual function units?
