Pretec unveils 8GB SDHC card

Since SD cards are currently the dominant storage media of choice in digital cameras around the world, it is no wonder that it boasts the largest capacity as well. The new SD card from Pretec comes with a whooping 8GB of storage space which can hold approximately 4,000 photos. Just make sure your digital camera and other SD-compatible devices will support the new SDHC (SD 2.0) standard. The new Pretec 8GB SDHC will retail at the recommended price of $299. Fret not if you are still stuck with SD 1.1 devices – Pretec will soon unveil its very own SD Tuner technology which will allow cross platform compatibility between both standards.
