Toshiba e-book concept

Toshiba has an interesting take on yet another convergence device, lifting the curtain on it at the recent IFA 2006 event in Berlin, Germany. This PDA device boasts a dual display concept which flips open like an e-book. Judging by the photos, the desktop is manipulated via the touchscreen at the bottom, while the upper display is where all your work gets done. A missing keyboard means this device will make a poor messaging and e-mail client, as tapping on a virtual keyboard is way too slow to get your message across efficiently. Although there is no word on its internal specifications, the presence of an SD card slot is comforting. For what it is worth, this conceptual design looks somewhat akin to the way the Nintendo DS Lite works.
