Cowon D2 unveiled

Cowon has a spanking new portable media player that will be released in Korea sometime in the middle of next month. The upcoming D2 sports a 2.5″ LCD display that is capable of strutting 16 million colors simultaneously in 320 x 240 pixels to put any self-respecting peacock to shame. The D2 supports WMV9 and MPEG 4 video formats, while on the sound front, it does MP3, WMA, Ogg, and FLAC files without any problem. Other features include an integrated FM radio, TV-Out, line-in recording, and a touchscreen interface. Unfortunately, the D2 comes with only 2GB of memory which can be further expanded by an SD/MMC card. No word on pricing and whether it will make it Stateside in time for the holiday season or not.
