E-Ten’s upcoming device, the X500 Pocket PC smartphone has just blown its cover. A first glance seem to show a rather muted design in a bland, grey color, but one should never judge a book by its cover. Specifications-wise, the X500 does not look like it lacks anything, or does it? The X500 is powered by Samsung’s S3C2442 400MHz processor which is aided by 64MB RAM and 128MB ROM, while other features include a lovely QVGA TFT LCD display, Bluetooth 2.0 and WiFi connectivity, an integrated FM radio tuner, a microSD card slot, and a 2 megapixel camera with auto-focus. You can even use it as a GPS device, thanks to the built-in SiRFStar III GPS chipset. Eagle-eyed readers will notice that there is no 3G support, which could be a potential stumbling block.
