Fusion controller for next gen consoles

In2Games is taking a stab in the console controller market with the new Fusion motion-sensing controller. This device does not approximate motion unlikes Nintendo’s Wii-mote, but it uses sound waves and a little bit of pixie dust in order to provide an accurate, real-time depiction of your motions on the screen. This means your surrounding area will have to be relatively clutter free in order to use the Fusion. There is no need to aim it at any kind of sensor, but you have to plug in the sensor into the console’s USB port. One can expect to see Fusion controller flood the market sometime in Q3 2007 for $56. The ball is now in the game developer’s court as to whether they will make games which can fully utilize the Fusion’s abilities.
