Lenntek is going against the flow by introducing the HookUp for iPod that actually forces you to carry more gear instead of less. The HookUp is a Bluetooth-enabled device that is plugged into your iPod which then allows you to transmit music wirelessly to your Bluetooth cellphone. Don’t worry about incoming calls – the HookUp is smart enough to stop playback. The other item Lenntek gives you to carry around would be a remote control. Could this be a conspiracy theory with backpack manufacturers in order to boost sales of both products? We say ditch the iPod and HookUp combo and get a Bluetooth-enabled music cellphone instead.
