How does a document scanner that comes in the shape of a traditional pen sound to you? This is now made possible with the IRISPen Express. It might look fun in the first place, but the thought of moving my hand over a page multiple times would make me turn to a dedicated scanner in a flash. The IRISPen Express is able to scan up to 3.15″ per second, making it ideal for quick scans over certain parts of a document. It is virtually compatible with any software, be it on the Mac or Windows platforms. Unfortunately, the $129 IRISPen Express could have been the next best thing, but apparently the gadget tanked with its poor functionality and issues with scanning speed according to Gearlog.
