The new Flatron M4200D from LG is a 42″ LCD display that enables users to watch 3D images without the need for those pesky, nerdy-looking 3D goggles. Features of the Flatron M4200D includes a brightness level of 500cd/m2, an 8ms response time, a contrast ratio of 1,600 to 1, and a maximum resolution of 1920 x 1080. Just like how Doom tried to pass 2.5D as 3D before Quake came along, the M4200D looks like another futile exercise in bringing true-to-life images to the viewers. If you ask me, the M4200D looks as if the 3D words displayed there were pulled directly from Microsoft Word’s WordArt directly. What do you guys think?
