The beleaguered Motorola Q seems to be facing stiff competition from all corners, with the most recent blow coming in the form of T-Mobile’s Dash QWERTY-based smartphone. This has forced the communications giant to hit back by working on an upgraded version of the super slim Q. Known as the Q Pro, you will be able to see revisions from both hardware and software perspectives. The new Motorola Q Pro will ship with Motorola’s MOTOPRO Mobility Suite that enables remote device and application management. You will also get a firewall, e-mail encryption, VPN support, and intrusion detection as part of the package. Word on the street is the Q Pro will hit the streets in Q1 2007. In the meantime, read our review of the Motorola Q here.
