NEC has claimed the highest resolution crown when it comes to LCD displays with their new 21.3″ LCD panel which is capable of a maximum resolution of 2800 x 2100 pixels (clocking in at nearly 6 megapixels), breaking the previous record of 2560 x 2048 pixels held by the NL256204AM15-01/01A model. This new LCD display utilizes NEC’s very own TFT technology which is capable of a brightness level of 1,000cd/m2 and a contrast ratio of 1,000 to 1. You won’t be picking this up for your home anytime soon as it targets the medical professional market. Expect to see this 21.3″ LCD panel be available sometime in the middle of next year.
