New Treo 680 launched

Palm hopes that average cellphone users will move up a notch in their user experience by picking up the new Palm Treo 680. This Treo is very different from the rest of its predecessors, doing away with the butt-ugly antenna which Palm claims will not affect the reception quality. The Treo 680 ships with 64MB of SDRAM and 64MB of user memory, and offers support for Microsoft Office and PDF documents, a variety of multimedia functions such as MP3 and video playback and recording, and an SD memory card slot for expansion options. Each purchase of the Treo 680 will snag you a 1GB SD card and a free 1-month subscription to Yahoo!’s Music Service. There is no final price associated with the Treo 680 as individual carriers will determine that. Will any of your current Palm owners see a need to upgrade?
