Nexx tries to pull an iPod nano

Imitation might be the sincerest form of flattery, but I believe that is only true when the imitator comes across as an equal at the very least. The iPod nano might not be the greatest digital audio player available as it is more famous for it’s strong brand name and stylish design than functionality, hence making it a prime target for imitators. The NF-810 from Nexx comes in a slim, candybar form factor, has a tiny color display, and even navigates via what looks like a Click Wheel. Other functions include MP3, WMA, and ADPCM audio playback, a 1.66″ TFT color display, a JPEG photo viewer, an integrated FM radio and voice recorder. Not only that, the NF-810 does video as well – something the iPod nano can’t. There is no word on both pricing and availability, but we do know that the NF-180 will come in 512MB, 1GB, and 2GB capacities.
