Eagle-eyed followers of CSI and CSI: Miami would have noticed the ProScope device making its rounds on both series as it is used to get a much more detailed look at evidence that is not apparent to the naked eye. The new ProScope is equipped with a 1.3 megapixel imager and new software which is compatible with both Windows and Mac platforms, enabling the user to snap still shots, video, and time lapse video at the touch of a button. There are 3 resolutions to choose from – 320 x 240, 640 x 480, and 1280 x 1024. Owners of existing ProScopes can upgrade their device by adding the hard drive functionality to the base and getting a new 400x lens.
