Apple’s recent launch of the Mac Pro desktop in August this year proved to be a success, where the top-of-the-line model carries a couple of 3GHz dual-core Intel Xeon “Woodcrest” processors. Rumors abound in Cupertino that Apple is preparing itself to drop a souped up Mac Pro that boasts a grand total of eight cores of pure, unadulterated processing power, courtesy of Intel’s upcoming quad-core Xeon “Clovertown” processors. While this piece of news is unconfirmed, rabid fans are looking at a post mid-November introduction. The successful confirmation of this rumor depends on both Apple and Intel. Do you guys think the 8-core Mac Pro will be a possibility before the holiday season hits full swing?
