Most High-Definition TVs these days come in pretty huge sizes, but Sanyo decided to take the opposite route by creating the 7.1″ LCD display which offers full HDTV resolution at 1920 x 1080 pixels. The screen from Sanyo is currently a technology statement at the point of publishing, and there are no details with regard to price, a release date, and even a model number, so don’t expect other juicy bits like having an HDMI input to be available anytime soon. Could tiny HD displays be the next big thing? IMHO, such a tiny viewing area defeats the purpose of watching a high definition video as you won’t be able to pick up the details.
