Serene brings unique design to handset

Looks like Bang & Olufsen has brought its design expertise into the cellphone arena with a little help from Samsung by releasing the Serene cellphone in North America. You would expect a whole ton of features for $1,300, but you’ll be disappointed to know that the Serene sports some pretty sub-par functions such as e-mail support, SMS, MMS, and Bluetooth connectivity. We guess you’re paying top dollar for the unique design where the mic and speaker placements are flipped, with the speaker located behind the circular keypad claiming to have one of the best sound quality in the cellphone market. Overall, the Serene looks more like a ladies’ cellphone and has a price tag that is anything but its namesake.
