Remember Davey Jones when he played the grotesque looking pipe organ in Pirates of the Carribean 2: Dead Man’s Chest? The Blue Man Group Electronic Keyboard shares some resemblance with the former, but it is more techno than organic. You can plug your iPod or any other compatible digital audio player into the slot and start mixing your own tracks and sounds, courtesy of the integrated synth. For $79.95, you get a complete keyboard and percussion system, where proximity sensors are used to turn the unit on and off. These same sensors are also used to change instruments and manipulate the musical arrangements according to your taste, which are accomplished by a few hand waves.
