Aerated showerhead saves water

Most gadgets are fun to have around the house, but how many of them actually help the environment? Researchers from CSIRO Manufacturing Materials Technology have developed a device which is capable of yielding a higher volume of shower stream while decreasing the amount of water used by up to 30%. This translates to an average savings of 15,00 to 20,000 litres annually, which will go a long way in conserving our earth’s water supply when implemented worldwide. Test subjects did not report any difference in water pressure and sensation during their shower. This new nozzle is expected to retail for less than $15 when mass produced.
