Asus’ first media center, the Asteio D22 supports Intel’s Viiv platform and has the processing muscle of an Intel Core 2 Duo processor to help handle all the entertainment tasks thrown at it. Other hardware specifications include 1GB of RAM, a 250GB hard drive, and a passively cooled mid-range graphics card to keep the noise level down to a minimum as any good media center PC should be. The Asteio D22 comes with a couple of digital TV tuners, 7.1 channel sound support, a variety of connectivity options including HDMI, SCART, DVI, and S-Video, a multi-format DVD writer, a 13-in-1 memory card reader, and built-in WiFi for all your entertainment needs. There is no word on availability or price as at press time.
