Wireless headphones are great in concept, but they do fall prey to the occasional disruption despite using a variety of transmission methods like infrared, radio spectrum, and even Bluetooth. Sony hopes to change the way we view headphones with the body-wired headphone application. This concept will use your body as the main mode of transport to carry music up to a pair of headphones, nudged along by a few millionths of an amp – virtually turning you into a human capacitor. The result of electrifying yourself would be listening to music in 48kps quality, which Sony claims is good enough for the casual listener. What happens if the concept goes awry? Would we end up spontaneously combusting humans?
