Canon launches Media Storage

Canon has taken another step into the Media View market with the Canon Media Storage M30 and M80. Both devices feature a user interface that is familiar to owners of Canon’s line of digital camera, and are equipped with a generous 3.7″ 262k color TFT LCD display. Other technical specifications include a brightness level of 300cd/m2 and a contrast ratio of 250:1. The M30 and M80 comes with a 30GB and 80GB hard drive respectively. Do you think the Canon Media Storage device is redundant? Would you prefer to lug around yet another gadget in your already overburdened bag on your travels, just so you can view recently taken pictures on the go without booting up your notebook?
