The projector’s greatest strength, its huge screen size, is often offset by its weakest point – a washed out picture in the presence of bright sunlight. DNP hopes to reverse that notion with the Supernova screen, and although it might not boast the brightness of an exploding star, it is still capable of giving you up to 10 times the contrast and twice the brightness level of your standard screen under direct sunlight. There is no word on pricing or availability yet, but judging by the comparison shot on the right, I would say DNP is on the right track when it comes to backing up their claims. Outdoor movie sessions on a big screen during summer can now be a reality.
