I don’t really get those people who have a fetish for taking apart a sensitive piece of electronics, especially when that action voids your warranty. The folks at iFixit have placed disassembly photographs for curious Joes who need to know how their second generation of iPod Shuffles work before they can leave this earth on a happy note. From what we can gather from the photos, the iPod Shuffle consists of a lithium-ion polymer battery, an ARM processor complete with an Apple logo smacked on it, a memory chip, and a tiny chip marked “AAC”. What, you expected to see some gremlins running on a hamster wheel to power the Shuffle?
