London is set to be a safer place as police officers there will soon be equipped with head-mounted video cameras in an effort to clamp down on anti-social behavior which damages the city’s reputation. At press time, a team of eight Metropolitan Police officers in north London will use this new equipment during their patrols to record evidence of unruly behavior. Each of these cameras are roughly the size of an AA battery, making it easy to conceal onto the side of the police’s headgear and come with a 12 hour capacity. Each pack will set the force back by £1,800, so equipping the entire police unit with these cameras would be an expensive proposition.
