VoodooPC, now an entity under HP’s umbrella, showed us that it hasn’t lost its edge when it comes to high-end gaming PCs that make all the hype about next-generation console graphics look like a 5 year old’s drawing. The Omen PC is powered by an Intel Core 2 Extreme Quad-Core processor that offers a 70% increase over Intel’s Dual Core processors, and is cooled by a system-wide intercooler that is virtually silent. Other goodies include an overclocked dual graphics card setup, 2GB of DDR2 RAM, a 80GB SATA hard drive, and Creative Labs’ X-Fi Xtreme Music soundcard in the most basic package. The VoodooPC Omen is fully upgradeable, so feel free to add on to the $5,500 price with components of your chocie.
