Philips PET830 goes Tablet PC style

Finally, a portable DVD player that does not come in a clamshell format? Philips decided to go against the grain with the PET830 and have come up with a design that greatly impresses with a single glance. Other than standard DVD playback, the PET830 also supports the all-important DivX, MPEG 4, MP3, and WMA formats. The lack of a screen protector will definitely put some quarters off as they would dread carrying the PET830 on their travels since the design exposes the screen. There is no word on pricing or availability at this moment, but it should retail for a slight premium above the rest of its brethren in the market.
