PSP rumored to come in new colors

The Sony PSP is currently available in black and its polar opposite, white colors. This is rather pitiful when compared against the Nintendo DS Lite system that boasts a whole bunch of colors and special editions that helped pushed sales numbers through the roof in both Japan and the US. Sony is rumored to strike back with pink, blue, and silver colored PSPs before the year is over. Pricing details and specifications are expected to remain the same, although Sony will release these new colors on different dates. Will these new colors cause existing owners of the Sony handheld to pick up a new PSP? Or are Nintendo DS Lite owners the only ones who don’t mind forking out a whole wad of dollars for a console they already own in 4 or more different colors?
