Step2Play marries exercise and gaming

How many times have you heard your wife telling the kids to put down those video game controllers and go out to grab some sunshine and exercise? The Step2Play step exercise machine could change that as this device is linked directly to a games console, allowing the controller to work only when a constant, pre-programmed rate of exercise has been met. It is currently compatible with any Playstation game, with no word on whether current generation and next-gen consoles will be supported. I must say though, trying to nail down your opponent in a round of Tekken is pretty hard when you’re all out of breath from the stepping machine. Maybe the Nintendo Wii will cause gamers to be a healthier bunch with all the arm swinging they do on the Wii-mote.
