Abit unveils PCIe 1x WiFi card

Having a PCIe 1x slot on your motherboard is nearly useless, but thankfully Abit has had the common sense (which ironically, isn’t exactly common these days) to come up with the AirPace WiFi card. Compatible with both 802.11b and 802.11g standards, the AirPace will fit into your PCIe 1x slot nicely, adding wireless capability to your home or office PC. In addition, it also comes with a software AP function that turns your computer into a full-fledged Access Point that enables other compatible devices to access the Internet and your computer’s content as well. The antenna could do with a little more work though. Current price details are still unknown.
