Billboard runs off pedal power

Here’s an interesting development for those who are holding positions of power in their local city council – pedal-powered billboards. These ecologically-friendly billboards use 1,500 LED lights and are powered by 120 volunteers who take turns cycling around the clock. It is also interesting to note that the same board could only be lighted up with 120 traditional, mini-incandescent bulbs with the same amount of energy. What better way to spread some Christmas cheer around this holiday season than this example of selfless volunteering? In addition, you get to keep Mother Nature happy.
