The release of the GlobeTrotter HSDPA card could not come at a more timely moment with breaking news of Cingular upgrading its HSDPA capabilities to a much speedier 7.2Mbps. As the GlobeTrotter HSDPA card supports speeds of up to 7.2Mbps, its release will go down nicely with those who are truly living out the wireless lifestyle. In addition, should your travels ever bring you out of range from HSPDA coverage, fear not – the GlobeTrotter also supports UMTS, EDGE, and GPRS. What makes this piece of hardware all the more cooler is word that it will be compatible with the Macbook Pro as well. There is no word on pricing or availability, but Cingular should release it sometime early next year by all accounts.
