The Interactive Telecommunications Program has produced yet another wonder in the form of the James N. Sears’ Orb. This ball of LEDs plays tricks on your eyes and mind by taking advantage of us humans’ persistence of vision (POV) that works in pretty much the same way the spoke of a bicycle wheel looks like when spinnig at certain speeds. Of course, this Orb is much more complicated, spinning at 1600RPM to bring you such an effect. It would make an extremely cool device when applied as another channel to display commercials.
