The Zune was launched with a pretty muted sales number which accurately reflects the mediocrity of this portable media player. Hopefully with time to come, Microsoft will be able to rely on its good old “deep pockets” strategy to keep the Zune afloat. Although interest in boring old regular Zunes might not be sky high, pink colored versions have been scorching up the auction action on eBay. There are 100 pink Zunes in total which were specially made for members of the Microsoft Zune team, and one of them has apparently put it up for sale at a shocking $920. We’re not sure who in their right might would fork out that much dough to squirt around – but then again this is the Internet generation we’re talking about.
