Sony and SanDisk has issued a joint statement that the new Memory Stick PRO-HG has been released, and this new format is capable of supporting up to 32GB and come with a maximum data transfer rate of 480Mbps. This means you get to store more homebrew programs, music, and video on your PSP without dealing with a whole bunch of easily misplaced memory cards. With a 32GB capacity, this will definitely be the main rival to the SDHC format that was released a few months’ back. Judging by Sony’s past practices, the Memory Stick PRO-HG will definitely cause a huge hole in your pocket if you want one. Do take note that Memory Stick PRO-HG compliant devices won’t be available until next year.
