Babies get their own MP3 players

Playskool decided to enter the MP3 market by offering what it knows best – products for children and little tykes. Teaming up with Creative, Playskool now has a line of digital audio players for babies and pre-schoolers. The Infant Gym combines a ceiling mobile and an MP3 player, featuring pre-loaded baby-friendly tunes along with the option to upload your own selection including your voice. The other MP3 player is the Day To Dream Soother which projects lights onto the ceiling to keep your bundle of joy entertained while playing music from a separate DAP. The Infant Gym and Soother retails for $40 and $35 respectively. You can pick up either this fall. Parents might think it is cute for their kids to hold these MP3 players now, but they will probably regret 10 years down the road when the very same kids ask for the iPod 10G with touchscreen, voice-activated controls and 1TB of storage space.
