Clocky for real

Looks like some concept devices actually made it into the real world, and this project from MIT student Guari Nanda is now available for purchase. To recap, Clocky is an alarm clock that rolls away when it rings, forcing you to get up and chase after it in order to keep it quiet. Of course, Clocky banks on the premise that you would be wide awake by the time you hunt it down. I say imprison Clocky in a desk drawer and let him ring in there, you don’t have the hassle of running after time and get a couple more minutes of sleep. Clocky retails for $50 and has a bunch of accessories to go along with it to boot.
