Now here’s an idea – fashion designer Hussein Chalayan has teamed up with an engineering company to develop dresses of the future which are capable of morphing by themselves. The idea is fun, and it reminds me of Spiderman’s alien symbiote which later attached itself to Eddie Brock. Imagine purchasing just one dress and having it change to suit the occasion. This dress is driven electronically by controlled, geared motors, which means you won’t be too comfortable wearing them due to plenty of moving parts. Hopefully advances can be made for the dress to perform a fluid change without the wearer feeling it. You can see more of the transformer dress in this video.
