Hop on the driverless bus...in 2010

The paranoid living in the U.K. might want to purchase a higher payout for their life insurance as the driverless bus service kicks in within this decade. This unique vehicle is an electric and biofuel hybrid bus that can be hailed via your cellphone, ferrying anywhere between 12 to 24 passengers at any one time by follownig magnets which are embedded within the pavement. This leads to the question of terrorism and national security – somebody could just plant a dirty bomb and hop off without any human intervention (read: driver), so it will be interesting to see what security measures are taken with this driverless bus. Trials are expected to begin in 2010.
